Sales Development Representative

San Francisco or Palo Alto, California

You will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities through a combination of marketing lead qualification and outbound calling activities for an exciting, high growth & venture-backed SaaS company -- Socialtext. Help bring the value of Facebook and Twitter to leading brands such as Ogilvy, Getty Images, NYU and Symantec. The ideal candidate loves selling, is very high energy, has great communication and follow-up skills, wants to be part of an extraordinary team, and is looking to advance their career with an exciting growth company. Full-time position with excellent salary, commission, benefits and pre-IPO stock options.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly and professionally engage all inbound marketing leads, explain the company’s benefits, qualify the opportunities and transition the qualified opportunities to the field and inside sales teams.
  • Demonstrate persistent and excellent follow-up of all leads and deliver a high quantity of well qualified sales opportunities
  • Outbound calling in support of various campaigns to generate additional selling opportunities.
  • Use Salesforce CRM system to document all activities.
  • Use excellent communication skills to create a positive brand experience in all conversations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing or customer-service for technology companies
  • Excellent understanding of social networking and web 2.0 solutions
  • Demonstrated high performance
  • Relentless & positive personality and strong drive for success
  • BA/BS or equivalent education and relevant experience
