    Socialtext Releases SocialPoint

Socialtext released SocialPoint today, enabling Microsoft SharePoint deployments to provide the best-of-breed wiki solution users will prefer.

Here’s what our first SocialPoint customer had to say:

“We are beginning to use Socialtext in our Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice to work collaboratively on new ways of educating healthcare workers,” said Ken Graetz, eLearning Officer at Winona State University, Minnesota. “We are also very excited about the possibility of integrating Socialtext with our growing Microsoft SharePoint installation. Combining the structure of SharePoint with the open, flexible features of Socialtext’s wiki is a great solution for supporting teamwork.”

We built SocialPoint on top of the Wiki Web Services that come with Socialtext 2.0, which all Socialtext Personal and Professional customers are using as of yesterday.
