World's First Press Conference in Warcraft

It started by making fun of large companies my personal blog for holding press conferences in virtual world Second Life, but was taken seriously enough that we are going to do it.

Diegoman in WoWThe first ever press conference held in World of Warcraft will be on December 1st 2006. This could be a cheap PR stunt around some good news from Socialtext, but it could also just be fun.

The logistics and rules for this event (no ninjas, journalists must ask questions in PvP mode, etc.) is on Joi Ito's open source wiki.

UPDATE: We announced a developer contest for the best Socialtext-WoW integration for the prize of a year's subscription to WoW. Press and blog coverage from an embedded journalist/rogue.
