Socialtext is a sponsor for the second annual Pittsburgh Perl Workshop and we think you should come learn, hack, and participate. A handful of our engineers will be there doing just that. We'll be the ones with names like Chris Dent, Zac Bir, Shawn Devlin, Rick Scott, Matt Liggett, and Casey West.

The Pittsburgh Perl Workshop is a low-cost technical conference held at Carnegie Mellon University on October 13-14, 2007. The schedule is packed with great content. There's something for everyone.

Don't know Perl? Learn it here. Want to just come, sit, eat, and hack? The hackathon has you covered. Just looking to hang out? Your Friday night and Saturday night are taken care of.

Disclaimer: I'm one of four organizers for the event. I'm happy Socialtext is sponsoring, and I know it's going to be a blast. Last year's was!
