Thank you so much for the warm welcome, Eugene. It's very refreshing and exciting to be a part of an organization that embraces diversity (without forcing the issue!). I'm thrilled to be onboard and I'd echo that the sentiment of vive la différence!

As a woman who worked for you at Socialtext, I can't begin to express my shock that people would misinterpret your tweet this morning. I was delighted by it. You have been an excellent exemplar to me of a progressive leader who is conscious of the balance that can be achieved by diversity -- not as imposed diversity, but as a delight that we find as we are building our team of respectful cohorts.

Having had the experience of being challenged and empowered by you as an individual, having had your support and mentoring, I can assure anyone who might have questioned your comment that you simply enjoy bringing all good people to their full potential. And that it is a good thing that you get excited when all us deserving people come together.
