Profile Card Pop-ups

Have you ever seen a person in Socialtext, and wanted to quickly know more about them? Who are they, and what’s their job role? What’s their phone number or email address? Or perhaps, what their chat status is? Now, that information is just a mouse-hover away.

In Socialtext, whenever you see a person’s name or photo, you can click on it to view their complete Socialtext Profile page. There you can see their contact information, the activities they have been doing, the people in their social networking, and more.

Starting with this past weekend’s release of Socialtext 3.5.7, you no longer have to visit their profile if you just want a quick glance at the basics. Instead of clicking on their name or picture, just hover your mouse over it and pause, and up pops their Socialtext Business Card.

Now you can quickly see their contact information, add them to your social network, create a new email to them, and even instant message them, for example by starting a Skype chat.

Knowing who the people are, that are creating, reading, and sharing information is a vital component of collaboration. So make sure to fill out your Socialtext Profile, and start hovering over other people’s name to find out more about them.
