Socialtext offers a unique appliance that gives government customers the convenience of Software as a Service (SaaS), with the security of on site deployment behind the firewall.

The appliance comes with all software components pre-installed and ready to run, on a pre-hardened OS, to ensure maximum security. It is easy to deploy, requires minimal maintenance, and includes technical and business administration utilities to manage backup, restore, upgrades, users, usage reporting and other administrative tasks. The standard backup feature allows the appliance administrator to back up the appliance to a shared network drive at a configurable time interval. Socialtext provides support engineering services to assist with deployment.
